Eventful in an Uneventful Kind of Way

As I'm re-telling the story of my bike tour it struck me that riding my bike all day had started to be just another day. I recount some errands, finding nothing interesting about my actual bike ride. It is interesting that nearing the end of something pretty epic I still just talked about buying soap. Some of what actually made the trip so epic was that just doing some very normal things took so much effort. This wasn't pre-internet... but it was pre-smart phone in my pocket. Finding a store that would sell my brand of soap likely took effort and planning... so did finding a place to shower, eat, and sleep... except for when it just fell in my lap.

Today was eventful in an uneventful kind of way. I bought soap and replaced the dead red water bottle. More pipe insulation was added to my handlebars and the bolt holding on my front rack was replaced on the right side. Yesterday it sheered off at the fork. I didn't take any pictures. I put in my miles and didn't talk to many people. I have 7 - 9 more days left. I called and asked Raven when the most convenient time for me to get picked up would be.
